Bitter gourd juice – Must try (It’s not bitter anymore)
1 Bitter gourd
1 Green Apple
Small portion as per your taste for ginger
Salt or Black salt
Green chilli or pepper are optional
Take bitter gourd, cut the top and bottom. Cut it into half, scoop out all the seeds. Now cut it in small pieces and put it in a bowl. To this add a tsp of salt and rub it with your hands. Leave bitter gourd for 10 minutes.
Now dice green apples (you may use regular apples)
See if the bitter gourd is softened; if yes, squeeze it and take out the extra juice content from bitter gourd. This removes the bitterness.
Now add squeezed bitter gourd, green apples and ginger in the blender and make a puree, add little water to get a smooth puree.
Pour this in a strainer and use a spoon to push the juice.
Now add lemon and salt to enjoy the refreshing drink.
